I find this fairly funny and certainly accurate.
The truck-like, former perennial best-seller Explorer is revealed with new unibody (more car-like) platform and the added performance that comes with it. Designed to go after niche buyers with an active lifestyle that may necessitate going off the pavement, the new Explorer goes a long way toward answering the question of ‘why’ people buy SUVs. We’ll see how it stacks up against the new Jeep Grand Cherokee, which not only has similar packaging, but already serves the clientele the new Explorer is going after.
